'Educate Me' visited today and did a wonderful presentation on Space. We learned lots of interesting facts about our Solar system and got to hold models of the planets; Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. Poor Pluto has been demoted and is no longer considered a planet!! The first 4 planets (Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars) are called the inner planets. They are closest to the sun. These planets are made mostly from rock. The next 4 planets (Jupiter, Saturn. Uranus and Neptune) are called the outer planets. They are made mostly of gas.
